Spycraft: The Art of Deception

Spycraft encompasses all interactions requiring social manipulation—from bluffing through hostile checkpoints to persuading NPCs to reveal information or grant access. This pillar transforms Bond into a versatile operative capable of operating anywhere without triggering alarms.

Bluffing Mechanics

Bluffing allows Bond to talk through hostile situations that would otherwise require elimination or evasion. Successful bluffs require observing NPC behavior to identify appropriate cover stories—claiming to be maintenance staff works near equipment, while guest identities suit formal venues.

The instinct ability assists bluffing by highlighting behavioral cues indicating NPC suspicion or acceptance. When instinct reveals tension, the bluff may still succeed with different approaches—retreating and observing rather than pressing forward.

Disguise Systems

Disguises grant access to restricted areas and change how NPCs react to Bond's presence. Appropriate attire enables walk-through of hostile checkpoints, while wrong disguises create immediate suspicion.
