All 9 Locations in 007 First Light
007 First Light takes Bond across the globe, visiting nine distinct locations over its 17-chapter campaign. Each location has unique environments, gameplay opportunities, and story significance. Here is every location and what to expect at each.
1. Iceland — Against the Odds
The game opens in Iceland, where Bond performs his heroic act that catches MI6's attention. Set in a frozen mountain region with government research facilities, snowstorms, and hostile mercenaries. Stealth tutorial zone with environmental traversal and survival elements. The snowstorm reduces enemy visibility, creating natural stealth windows.
2. MI6, London — Multiple Chapters
Bond visits MI6 headquarters (aka Universal Exports) multiple times throughout the campaign. First for recruitment and training orientation, later for the finale defense. The building serves as the hub area with Q Branch, briefing rooms, and the TacSim simulation space. The finale features an armed assault on MI6 as Bond defends it from mercenaries.
3. Malta — Training and Infiltration
Malta appears in multiple chapters: Bond's training (The Needle's Eye), a nighttime infiltration (A New Home), and a diplomatic encounter (A Matter of Considerable Delicacy). Malta features sunny coastal environments, training facilities, luxury estates, and nighttime infiltration sections with social stealth and disguise mechanics.
4. Vienna — Diplomatic Mission
An interlude chapter set at a high-society diplomatic event. Social stealth dominates — Bond must navigate conversations, blend with guests, and avoid Watchers. Heavy emphasis on eavesdropping and dialogue bluffing.
5. Grand Carpathian Hotel, Slovakia — All the Time in the World
The largest single-chapter location in the game. A five-star luxury hotel hosting a World Chess Championship. Multiple floors, guest rooms, a dining room, ballroom, service areas, and underground tunnels. Dense with collectibles, safe codes, and the iconic fireplace puzzle.
6. Mauritania — The Past Never Dies
Aleph, a dangerous black market hub run by pirates in the Mauritanian desert. Outdoor and indoor areas, crocodile pit (yes, really), market zones, and a tower assault sequence. Bawma (Lenny Kravitz) is introduced here. This chapter features the emotional beat of Greenway's death.
7. London Museum — Uninvited
An exclusive tech industry gala at a London museum. Costume room disguise system, dense NPC crowds, and gallery spaces. One of the most complex stealth environments in the game. Maintenance door code 3256 provides an alternate route.
8. Webb Industries — Knightfall
Nicholas Webb's corporate headquarters. A large multi-floor infiltration with server rooms, executive offices, penthouse, and helicopter escape sequence. Corporate environments with electronic security systems and tight patrols.
9. Vietnam — Time to Die
A tropical resort where Bond goes undercover as a wealthy playboy to prevent an assassination. Lush outdoor environments, resort buildings, beach areas, and water-based sequences. Distinct from every other location in visual style and tone.
10. Antarctica — Wave of the Future
The longest chapter (approximately 1h 45m). Webb's secret R&D facility in the frozen Antarctic. High-tech interiors, outdoor cold environments, and the climactic underwater confrontation. Archives door code 1864 provides a shortcut.
Use the Chapter Select feature to revisit favorite locations after the story. The hotel, museum, and Antarctic facility are particularly rewarding to explore with a full gadget loadout.
