Mission Overview
Man of the Hour is a focused 25-minute confrontation mission where your previous operations have finally drawn the full attention of Phoenix leadership. You have been lured to a trap — a supposedly safe meeting location that has been compromised by Phoenix counter-intelligence operatives who have been tracking you since the Slovakia operation. This mission tests everything you have learned under adversarial conditions where enemies know your methods, have prepared specifically for your arrival, and will adapt their tactics based on how you respond.
The setting is a luxury hotel suite in Zurich where you were summoned by a contact claiming to have critical information about Phoenix's ultimate plan. The contact was genuine but compromised — Phoenix intercepted the communication and prepared an ambush. Upon arrival, you find the contact dead or missing, the room surrounded by Phoenix's elite response team (codenamed "The Cleaners"), and multiple escape routes already sealed. Survival requires immediate adaptation as every tactic you normally rely on has been anticipated and countered.

Key Objectives
Mission objectives:
- Survive the initial ambush — The Cleaners breach from multiple entry points simultaneously within 60 seconds of your arrival.
- Neutralize The Cleaners' command element — Their field leader coordinates the ambush; eliminating him disrupts their tactical coordination.
- Recover whatever intelligence the contact was carrying — Even if the contact is dead, their materials may survive.
- Escape the hotel before reinforcements arrive — A 10-minute window exists before local police arrive in response to reported gunfire.
Adaptive Enemy Tactics
What makes this mission unique is enemy adaptation. The Cleaners have studied your operational profile and deployed specific countermeasures: they carry flashbang grenades specifically to counter your close-quarters dagger shoe tactics; they wear thermal goggles that partially negate shadow-based stealth; they communicate via encrypted bone-conduction headsets that prevent Q Lens interception; and they employ a bounding overwatch technique where one member always covers while others advance, preventing the flanking maneuvers you typically use.
Countering adaptive enemies requires abandoning comfortable patterns. If you typically approach from above, enter from below this time. If you favor silent takedowns, create noise to draw them into unfavorable positions. If you rely on cover-based shooting, force mobile engagements in open areas. The Cleaners are dangerous precisely because they expect standard Bond tactics — surprise them by doing something unexpected, even if it feels suboptimal by normal metrics.
Stealth Approach Tips
Stealth in this mission is harder than usual but not impossible. The thermal goggles have a limitation: they cannot see through water or dense steam. The hotel bathroom can be flooded by damaging pipes, creating a thermal screen behind which you can move undetected. Similarly, the kitchen area produces steam from cooking equipment that creates temporary blind spots in their vision. Use these environmental factors rather than relying on traditional darkness-based concealment.
Another vulnerability: The Cleaners' bone-conduction headsets require line-of-sight to each other for the mesh network to function. If you can separate team members by more than approximately 15 meters (using walls, floors, or obstacles), their coordination degrades significantly. Isolated Cleaners fight as individuals rather than a coordinated unit, making them much easier to handle. Your priority should be splitting the team before engaging any individual members.
Combat Tips
Combat against The Cleaners demands aggressive tempo control. They excel at prolonged engagements where their coordination advantage compounds over time. Your goal is to end fights quickly — overwhelming individual targets with rapid, decisive action before their teammates can provide support. The laser belt cutting mode can disable their thermal goggles at close range (the lens housing is vulnerable to precise cuts), temporarily blinding them and creating openings for follow-up attacks.
Ammunition management is critical. You begin this mission with standard loadout only — no resupply opportunities exist within the trapped suite. Every shot must count toward elimination or tactical advantage. Consider using the environment for kills rather than firearms when possible: electrical hazards from exposed wiring, structural collapse through strategic damage to load-bearing elements, and improvised weapons from hotel room furnishings all conserve ammunition while remaining effective.
Collectibles Locations
Collectibles:
- Intel Document — On the dead contact's body or in their hidden drop location. Contains partial information about Phoenix's "Project Icarus" — their ultimate plan.
- Playing Card (King of Diamonds) — Hidden in the hotel suite air vent, placed there by the contact before their capture.
- Memento (Contact's Personal Photo) — Shows the contact with family, humanizing the cost of intelligence work.
Challenge Tips
Available challenges:
- Clean Sweep — Neutralize all Cleaners without taking any damage
- Speed Escape — Complete extraction in under 5 minutes
- No Firearms — Complete using only melee and environmental weapons
- Intel First — Recover contact intelligence before engaging any enemies
- Completionist — All objectives, all collectibles
