PC Performance Overview
007 First Light runs on IO Interactive's Glacier engine, which powered the Hitman trilogy. The engine is well-optimized for modern hardware. On high-end PC (RTX 5090, Ryzen 7 9800X3D), the game hits maximum settings at 4K without stuttering. Mid-range hardware (RTX 3060 Ti, Ryzen 5 7600) can target 60fps at 1440p with adjusted settings.

RTX 3060 / RX 6700 XT:
- 1080p Medium-High: 60fps
- 1440p High: 45-60fps

- 1080p Ultra: 80-100fps
- 1440p High: 70-90fps
- 4K High: 50-60fps
RTX 5080 / RTX 5090:
- 4K Ultra + DLAA/DLSS 4: 60fps+
- 4K Max settings: 60fps with DLSS
Optimization Tips
First steps:
- Disable V-Sync in game — causes input lag
- Set texture quality to High instead of Ultra if VRAM is tight
- Ray tracing requires RTX 4070 or higher for playable framerates
- Path tracing is delayed to Summer 2026 — do not enable it yet
- DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution + DLSS Dynamic Multi Frame Generation for best performance/quality balance on NVIDIA
Move the game to your fastest SSD (NVMe preferred). The 80GB install size is manageable, and IO Interactive recommends SSD for all installations.
